Chilean actress and lyrical singer, Daniela Vega, will soon make history, becoming the first openly transgender woman to ever present an award at the Oscars.
The star of Sebastián Lelio’s critically-acclaimed film A Fantastic Woman, who was also in contention to become the first transgender actress to win an Academy Award, will take to the stage with Jimmy Kimmel for this years Oscars set to take place on the 4th of March at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Daniela Vega shot to fame after her role in A Fantastic Woman. The film follows the story of a trans bar singer named Marina, played by Vega. She receives infuriating discrimination from doctors and police and contempt from her lover’s ex-wife when her boyfriend dies.
