Out In The Park
< 1 min read

The major gay event in Wellington which was cancelled in February due to wet weather will be held on Sunday 29 March as part of the CubaDupa Festival.

Originally the Out In The Park festival and parade was to go ahead in Wellington on Valentine’s Day but the stormy weather forecast forced organisers to postpone the event until tomorrow.

The organisers of Out in the Park say they are thrilled to be working with the CubaDupa Festival, and being at such a central site – the carpark on the corner of Ghuznee and Leeds Streets – they can bring some queer flair to the heart of the Festival.

“We’re calling this new incarnation ‘Out in the (car)Park’ as a cheeky nod to its location!,” the organisers said.

The Sunday programme will commence with the much-anticipated Parade!
