The launch of Rainbow Pages at Ponsonby’s Long Room on Saturday night was a huge success. Timed to coincide with Auckland’s Pride, Rainbow Pages also had a presence in the parade.
After a successful registration window, the rainbow friendly app has nearly 4000 businesses registered which will convert to business profiles over the next couple of days.
The purpose of the app is to ensure members of the Rainbow community can do business with people who respect and understand them.
James Bennett, Rainbow Pages founder says the focus now is to get all the businesses that have registered up and running with a profile.
“If you’re a Rainbow consumer and you have already downloaded the app just remember we are adding businesses daily. Our goal is to help our community find Rainbow friendly businesses across all sectors – anything from a bank such as ASB to your local plumber.”
The app is extremely affordable for businesses to show their support for the Rainbow community. A business profile is only $20 per month.
The app also supports the LGBTTQI+ communities by donating 10% of all revenue to the Rainbow community groups.
Consumers can download the app now from Google Play and from the Itunes App Store on 18 March, in time for the Wellington Pride Parade.
