The release of the much anticipated new addition to the Apple family dubbed the Apple Watch, is said to be released sometime in April 2015.
The sapphire coated smartwatch is a cleaver and sophisticated mashup of high-tech features with sleek styling and is set to revolutionise the way we use and view technology from now and into the future.
With a range of interchangeable straps to cater for every occasion this smartwatch will be available in two sizes and three distinct collections with varying prices. It will also have separate core uses including the “apple watch”, “apple watch sport”, and the “apple watch edition”.
Behind the sleek and highly polished casing, the Apple Watch is a powerful gadget designed to work seamlessly with the latest IOS software and devices that include the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
With more than a dozen ways to interact with the watch and a growing list of apps including iMessage, Weather, Calendar, Health, Mail, Camera, Passbook, Apple Pay, and Maps for Navigation, the functionality and thoughtfulness of this smartwatch seems second to none.
But will that be enough? Other smartphone brands already have smart watches on the market and it seems in this case Apple are the last out of the gate. One thing is for sure, you would hope the battery life is better than the with their phones.
Prices are estimated to range from $350 – $1,000+ for the standard Apple Watch, with the 18 carat gold “apple watch edition” rumoured to tip the scales at over $5,000.
