Teen Wolf star Charlie Carver, who recently came out as gay via Instagram, is coming to Australia.
Carver is best known for playing Porter Scavo, son to Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant’s characters, Lynette and Tom Scavo, in Desperate Housewives and as Ethan in the MTV teen horror series Teen Wolf.
Charlie and his twin brother Max will be special guests at the Oz Comic Con events in Perth and Adelaide in early April.
Although Charlie has played several gay characters during his acting career, he had never publicly commented on his sexuality until an Instagram post in January where he wrote an essay in the caption spaces beneath a series of five pictures of the phrase, “Be who you needed when you were younger.”
Carver finished the post by saying “let the record show this- I self-identify as gay. And does that really matter anymore? As a young man, I needed a young man in Hollywood to say that — and without being a d*ck about it, I owe it to myself, more than anything, to be who I needed when I was younger.
“And let the record show my twin brother is just as cool for being straight.”
The 27-year-old was born in California, Charlie and his identical twin brother Max actually have different birthdays; Charlie was born on July 31, and Max was born seven minutes later, on August 1.
He also starred in the first season of the HBO series The Leftovers. His real-life twin brother Max Carver also portrayed his fictional twin in all three shows.

Opportunities to have photos with both Carvers, autographs and even attend a dinner which they will be guests are all available to purchase before the two events.
