On the weekend of the 5th September 2015 our very own New Zealand Falcons rugby team, who are based in Auckland will be hosting approximately eight teams from New Zealand and Australia, competing for the annual Purchas Cup.
The Purchas Cup was originally a competition between the Sydney Convicts and the Brisbane Hustlers with the first competition starting 2004. Since then the tournament has grown to include the Melbourne Chargers and our very own NZ Falcons.
With the possibility of two squads per team competing in this years tournament, the 2015 Purchas Cup is set to be a fantastic lead up to the 2016 Bingham Cup being hosted in Nashville, Tennessee.
