Beauty brand Sally Hansen and partnered with GLAAD to celebrate Pride Month releasing a new range of cosmetics based on the new eight-colour rainbow flag.
Alongside the collection, for the second year, Sally Hansen has made a monetary donation to GLAAD’s culture-changing work to accelerate LGBTQ acceptance and create a world where everyone is able to express themselves freely.
Taking its colour inspiration from the new, inclusive Pride flag, Sally Hansen’s collection features a range of eight Xtreme wear shades, each capped with both the iconic stripes and a rainbow heart, plus a limited edition Sally Hansen x GLAAD Insta-dri Pride Gift Set featuring six, vibrant shades.
Speaking about the partnership, Vice President of Sally Hansen Global & U.S. Marketing Celia Tombalakian said they are honoured to continue the partnership with GLAAD for the second year in support of their culture-changing work with the LGBTQ community.
“The new Sally Hansen Pride Collection was specially created to inspire self-expression through a range of bold and beautiful shades inspired by the evolution of the pride rainbow, allowing consumers to celebrate individuality and show their pride on their fingertips,” Tombalakian said.
GLAAD Senior Director John McCourt said that although Pride may look a little different this June, visibility for the LGBTQ community has never been more important.
“With its colorful and inclusive nail collection, Sally Hansen has presented a bright and creative way for people to express themselves and their pride, showcasing the brand’s ongoing commitment to promoting LGBTQ acceptance.”
The eight-colour LGBT flag, better known as the Philadelphia Pride flag, includes two complementary colours, black and brown, to emphasize the racial diversity of the LGBT community.
