Two former Mr Gay World winners have been announced as celebrity judges in this year’s Mr Gay World Competition hosted in the European island nation of Malta.
With 22 delegates from around the world, including New Zealand’s very own representative Bernard Lee, taking part in an intense five-day competition, both Mass Luciano of Hong Kong and Andreas Derleth of New Zealand know what it takes to win and hold the title, making them ideal judges for the competition.
This year’s competition marks the 8th Mr Gay World since its establishment in 2009 where Max Krzyzanowski of Ireland took the honours as the very first Mr Gay World.
New Zealand’s very own Andreas Derleth who won the 2012 competition will also join current title holder Luciano on the judging panel, with competition organisers saying that his experience as a successful title holder will make him a great judge who “understands what it takes to win and bear the title.”
Mr Gay World 2016 starts on the April 19 with the grand final and winner announced on the April 23.
