Following the successful 2015 Auckland Pride Festival, the organisation is now on the lookout for some new board members.
The Festival Board was formed in 2012 after a series of community meetings established the need for a recognised Auckland Pride Festival.
Today the board oversees the various aspects of mounting the Auckland Pride Festival and Parade, including the appointment of key Festival and Parade Directors to deliver the Auckland Pride Festival and its signature events.
Board members are appointed for a three-year term with some expiring in alternating years.
The organisation is looking for those that have a passion for the wider rainbow community as well as experience in areas such as human rights, community relationships and finance.
