With the same-sex marriage postal survey deadline steadily approaching, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is urging people to have their survey posted by today to make sure they arrive on time.
The closing deadline for the survey is Tuesday November 7 at 6 pm and for some posting in city regions, the post will usually take one or two days, but to be sure it is suggested you do it by today.
The ABS has now received an estimated 11.9 million (74.5 percent) survey forms for the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey as of Friday October 20.
With form scanning now well underway, this estimate is based on a count of forms scanned rather than earlier estimates that were based on the weight of the bulk containers of returned forms waiting to be scanned.
The ABS estimates it received an additional 300,000 forms last week.
Final participation figures will be available when all processing is completed and survey results are released on November 15.
