A new campaign titled “We Can Do This” has been launched in Australia featuring a series of new 30-second TV ads calling on the federal parliament to stop delaying the important reform on marriage equality.
The campaign features Australians from all walks of life, showing their support for equality and human rights.
The television ads will be screened across Australia on multiple different networks with the main focus of gaining the attention of MPs who have yet to declare a position on the marriage equality debate.
The Australian Marriage Equality campaign’s National Director Rodney Croome said the ad campaign showcases the diversity of support for marriage equality with farmers, football players, priests and parents all coming together to urge Canberra to embrace marriage equality.
“The ads also highlights the key values behind marriage equality, love, commitment, family and fairness.” Mr Croome said.
The Campaign features a number of high profile and well known Australians including Julie Goodwin, Danielle Cormack, Elizabeth Rose, Hugo Weaving, Julia Morris, Chris Bath, Matt Spangher (Hawthorn FC – AFL), Josh Bruce (St. Kilda FC – AFL), and Mick and Matt Newell (My Kitchen Rules).
