Sweden’s Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) and his buddy Simon (Omar Rudberg) are back together, or are they?
The trailer for the second season of the Swedish TV smash the Young Royals, a gay version of the tale of a prince and a charming servant…in this case, a classmate, was released yesterday.
The new trailer recreates the tragic tone of the last episode of the first season. Wilhelm and Simon are no longer together. Wilhelm’s older brother died in a car accident.
Now he is the sole heir to the throne. Wilhelm’s cousin August leaks video of sex between Wilhelm and Simon on the Internet. Wilhelm initially denies the video’s authenticity, but later confesses his love for Simon in front of the entire school. Simon is not ready to continue the relationship.
The official announcement of the second season reads as follows: “The winter holidays are over, Prince Wilhelm and his classmates are back in Hillersk. Wilhelm is trying to take revenge on Augustus and regain Simon’s trust … The result of his actions is a threat to the monarchy.”
