After surviving Covid-19 quarantine conditions and changes to filming countries the first RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under season has come to its conclusion and the winner is……. Kita Mean.

The New Zealand queen was announced the winner of the Australian and Kiwi co-production by RuPaul at the end of the final episode that has been streamed online.

In the finale, Kita Mean had to compete against three Australian Queens for the title, Art Simone, Karen from Finance and Scarlet Adams and she managed to take out the title.

Spies suggest four alternative endings were filmed to keep the result secret but following the victory Kita Mean said to everyone that was watching they need to take ownership of their life.

“Yessss, I fucking did it,” Kita exclaimed, “You know what spread those fucking wings, you can soar too and do this.”

“To anybody that feels like they are weird and they don’t belong and people do not get them, own who you are because those things that people don’t get are there things that make you special and that’s what makes you shine, so you can spread your wings, so you can fly and you can do this.”
