Grammy award-winning star Lil Nas X has slayed again, this time at the 2021 Met Gala with an amazing three-piece gold design, literally three golden costumes in one.
After dominating the fashion stakes at the VMA awards on Sunday night, he has stepped out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York dressed in a very long and wide royal gold gown. But that was only the start.
He then removed the gown to release another golden piece that could only be described as a homage to C3PCO from Star Wars, before finally taking that off to reveal a slinky sexy design in a black and gold bodysuit.
He explained the custom Atelier Versace look was supposed to go from royalty to armour to “sexy” and “slutty.”
This year’s event celebrates with the opening of the Institute’s “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” exhibit; accordingly, the dress code is “American Independence.”
