The leather and fetish community have wiped off the Covid pandemic and gathered in their thousands for the annual Folsom Europe festival in Berlin’s gay quarter.
Held in Berlin since 2003, Folsom Europe was established in order to bring to Europe the non-profit leather festival concept pioneered by the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco, California.
On Saturday around 20,000 visitors descended on the street fair as part of the festival which also included a number of official Folsom parties and the sashing of Mr Leather Berlin.

In the classic gay quarters next to Nollendorf Platz, the business has been going on in the many leather, rubber and fetish shops and the streets and bars have been crowded with people dressed in their finest outfits.

The name Folsom comes from a street in San Francisco where the same fetish event is held on September 25 this year. In addition to Folsom Europe, Sydney also hosts Folsom Down Under in April.
