The newly crowned Mr Gay Austria has called for the community to show more tolerance and kindness to gay issues.
And no it’s not Mr Gay Australia, for some unknown reason no one has yet been announced as the delegate there this year, but the new Mr Gay Austria is Chris Krauel.
Krauel was chosen at a star-studded event in the western Austrian city of Dornbirn where the winner was crowned by former Eurovision Conchita Wurst.
Krauel is heading to Malta in April to take part in the Mr Gay World Competition against many other delegates including Mr Gay New Zealand Bernard Lee.
In his campaign to be elected as Mr Gay Austria, Krauel suggested homophobia within the gay community is increasingly becoming a major concern.
He wants us all to have more tolerance and kindness and to remove anti-gay sentiment from workplaces and in the community.
