Mr. Gay NZ’s 2019 finalists

Former Mr. Gay New Zealand and the competition producer Bernard Lee says he is looking forward to seeing a wide range of finalists in 2021 from across Aotearoa.

“The competition has come a long way in 13 years, and we love seeing and showcasing the diversity and inclusion of the LGBT+ community.”

Lee adds, that the competition is open to everyone, and the winner will have the opportunity to represent New Zealand at the next Mr. Gay World, which was sadly cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

“We are all hoping that Mr. Gay World 2021 will be able to go ahead, however, even if it the unthinkable does happen again, there will still be plenty of opportunities for the winner to get out and involved within their community in 2021, especially working alongside Ending HIV as an ambassador.”

Registrations for 2021 close on the 29th of January – For more information on the competition or to apply head to mrgaynz.com
