Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia has taken a turn for the beach this week with surfboards becoming the star of a number of runway shows this week.

Camilla unveiled its Resort 2017 collection on top of a new boat on Sydney Harbour with an African beach theme.

An early 7am start didn’t deter guests downing flutes of champagne while watching the models parade around the deck of the Seadeck.

The collection was inspired by Frank’s recent trip to Morocco and parts of Africa.

Designer Cynthia Rowley decided to follow the surfboard theme due to her personal passion for surfing.

Not an Australian designer but the American designs seemed to fit perfectly into the Australian fashion resort wear scene.

But this being a Sydney show, it was the swim that stole the show — and not just because a couple of models were carried down the runway by buff male models bearing surfboards.
