9 Eikōnic Players of the Cricket World Cup

2 min read

The world’s sporting spotlight is once again on New Zealand as we are hosting the Cricket World Cup for the next six weeks along with Australia.

New Zealand started well on Saturday with a big win over Sri Lanka at Christchurch.

The World Cup is made up of the best 14 teams, or at least the 14 countries that actually play cricket. They’ve even split the UK into Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales just to make up the numbers.

His first appearance at a World Cup but with a 5 wicket haul last weekend against England he’s set to star this year. Our one to watch (In more ways that one)

9. Jos Buttler – England

Jos Buttler

We had to squeeze this guy in. Talented with the bat and behind the stumps, Jos Buttler is one of England’s brightest up-and-coming talents.

But did we get them right. There are 210 players to pick from and we chose 7. Surely theres someone you like that we missed. Let us know.
