Christchurch, the garden city located on the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island is set to host a Celebration for the 30th Anniversary of New Zealand’s Homosexual Law Reform.

The special dinner and dance featuring a key campaigner for the Homosexual Law Reform, Bill Logan, will be held on Friday the 29 July 2016 at the Rydges Hotel, Latimer Square, Christchurch.

Organisers of the R18 event promise the celebration to be “a truly fabulous night in celebration of our New Zealand LGBIT history,”

With the dress code for both the dinner and dance being described as “Formal & Fabulous,” the dinner will include a 2-course meal and a glass of complimentary bubbles on arrival.

The event which is proudly supported by Christchurch Pride, Pink Health Otautahi, UpRising Trust, Q-topia, The New Zealand AIDS Foundation, Q-Canterbury, TraNZaction, Kindred and Bears Christchurch, will host a presentation to honour and remember those who campaigned 30 years ago.

DINNER 6pm – 9pm: 
Tickets to the dinner include a 2-course meal and a glass of complimentary bubbles on arrival. Dinner ticket will also include entry to the dance from 9pm onwards.

DANCE 9pm – 3am:
Tickets will also be available for those who just wish to attend the dance, featuring DJ Jordan Eskra from Auckland along with local DJ’s and drag performances throughout the night.
